Presenter:
Emma Giles is the Director of Programs and Operations at SciStarter, where she leads global campaigns like Citizen Science Month and One Million Acts of Science, and coordinates events such as the “SciStarter LIVE” webinar series and SciStarter Ambassador professional development events sessions. She works with partners including NASA, Science Friday, and community based organizations like libraries to expand public access to citizen science. Emma is also the lead instructor for Community Science courses at ASU’s Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College. A former 5th grade science teacher and Earthwatch "Teach Earth" Fellow, Emma holds a Master’s in Science & Technology Policy from ASU and studied climate science at the University of Vienna Summer Institute.
